Black Marlin Takes Kayaker For A Ride

Hooked this marlin only in 70 feet of water about a mile paddle from Los Buzos Fishing Lodge in Panama. It pulled me around for about a minute before it knew it was hooked. Then it tried to jump about 20 feet away from me, and I got a very clear look at it. It could barely get its head out of the water and that is how I guessed the size. The group of 5 I was fishing with also caught about 60 rooster fish, some giant cubera snappers, and big grouper on this trip all from kayaks.
