The Niesen is a landmark when you visit the Berner Oberland and a hike up there is an unforgettable outdoor adventure. This Swiss pyramid shaped mountain is located right at the lake of Thun. In this hiking vlog I show you what you can expect from this hike. The hike from Frutigen up to the Niesen Kulm is quite exhausting but very rewarding. This hike is very accessible from Thun, Interlaken or Bern. The views over the Swiss Alps are spectacular from the top of the Niesen. It is also possible to skip the hiking part and just take the Niesenbahn funicular to reach the summit. So if you are traveling through Switzerland and if you are looking for outdoor things to do near Interlaken, Thun or in general the Berner Oberland a hike up to the Niesen is always worth it.
