Immortals Phenyx Rising Essential Tips
When I first got my hands on Immortals Phenyx Rising, the first thing I noticed was that this world is a joy to explore. But after more than a few hours with the game, I discovered more than a few nuances to the gameplay that I wish I had known at the outset - and that’s what I’m going to share in this video. Not spoilers, but rather, tips meant to help you get the most out of your experience. I want to thank Ubisoft for providing a copy of the game, and with that out of the way, I hope you’ll join me as I cover 11 essential tips for Immortals Fenyx Rising.

Get Aphrodite’s First Blessing ASAP
Some enemies in Immortals Fenyx Rising can be really tough, especially at the outset of the game. And if there’s one thing I’d recommend doing first to make those encounters more manageable, it’s to work your way through the beginning of Aphrodite’s quest line in The Valley of Eternal Spring. After a couple quests, you’ll unlock Aphrodite’s first blessing. Blessings are passive abilities you receive from the game’s various gods as you work through their respective questlines. Anyhow, this one is called Aphrodite’s Embrace, and it instantly revives you with full health whenever you die. The catch is that it operates on a 20 minute cooldown, so don’t expect to use it more than once during the same fight. This ability might sound a bit OP, but trust me when I say that some of the game’s larger enemies can be really tough, especially early on. And as a bonus tip, I’ll also mention that once you start a quest line, you’re still totally free to go wherever you want in this world. Just because you start in The Valley of Eternal Spring, and even if you start Aphrodite’s quest line, you can still go to any of the other major regions in the game. The map is pretty much open from the start.

Unlock Herakles’s Leap
In Phenyx Rising one thing you can unlock and upgrade within the game’s skill upgrade menu are Godly Powers. These are the most powerful combat abilities in the entire game, and one that you unlock automatically is called Herakles’s Strength, which gives you these Breath of the Wild esque golden lassos. But if you upgrade Herakles’s Strength you can unlock Herakles’s Leap, which allows you to latch on to flying enemies and pull yourself up to their level where you can unleash a powerful aerial combo. You’ll definitely want to unlock this early as you’ll encounter these harpies very near the start of the game, and without Herakles’s Leap, they’ll be a major thorn in your side.

Unlock the exploration focused skills
One aspect of Fenyx Rising that can feel a little slow at the very start is traversing the huge world. But there are a few skills you can unlock that make traversal feel a lot better, and they’re all pretty cheap to unlock. That said, they’re tucked away in the bottom right of the skill tree, so they’re easy to overlook. First is Glide Boost, which will allow you to glide faster. Second is Climb Leap, which allows you to speed up your climbing with this handy lunge. I don’t know how I got by without either of these skills. Now, there is also Swim Dash, but honestly, I didn’t find myself swimming all that much, so I think you can take this or leave it. Finally, if you find it cumbersome to gathering pick up resources in the world, you can unlock Telekinesis Gathering, which lets you pick up multiple items with just one press of a button, and which causes you to automatically pick up resources while riding a mount. One final note on getting around faster is that the game’s default fast travel locations are rather sparse, but you can fast travel to any Vault of Tartarus that you’ve entered, even if you don’t complete it, so keep that in mind if you think you might want to come back to a certain part of the map, but there aren’t any nearby fast travel locations.
