‘Green-Left media’ focus on the possibility Australia ‘asked for’ China’s belligerence
Sky News host Chris Kenny says some media in Australia, especially publicly funded broadcasters who usually claim Australia needs an independent foreign policy, now “seemed to back China against Australia”.
Mr Kenny pointed to Sky News hosts who are consistently “prepared to challenge China and back this nation”.
“Happily, this is one issue where many of our commercial colleagues are just as strong even at Nine Entertainment, where wokeness often wins out, news coverage is strong on China”.
However, in Western Australia the “Kerry Stokes-owned 7News was pre-occupied with economic risks” while most of the “green-Left media” was less focused on China’s belligerence and more “on the possibility we asked for it”.
