An iconic spot regarding World War II in the Netherlands was the Maliebaan (Utrecht). Here both the NSB (National Socialist Movement / Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging) and the German organs of power (Gestapo, SD, SS, NSDAP, Luftwaffe and Wehrmacht), the Dutch SS / Germanic SS and WA, as well as the Dutch resistance (Group Abrecht, Archbishop Johannes de Jong and people in hiding) were located.
