Restoring a Sega Dreamcast - Console Restoration

Welcome to another exciting, yet slightly ASMR-ish, episode of Koala Bër Restorations! This week we focus on the ever-fascinating death kneel that was the Sega Dreamcast. Since its initial release in September of 1999, it sold over 9 million units worldwide, but was sadly still not enough to save Sega’s endeavors in the console market.

Still hailed as ahead of it’s the time, the Sega Dreamcast was the first console to include a built-in modular modem for web browsing and online play for games such as Phantasy Star Online and the timeless classic Alien Front Online.

Although it lost in the market compared to its rivals at the time, the Dreamcast held its fair share of groundbreaking titles, such as Sonic Adventure, Soul Caliber, Power Stone, Skies of Arcadia (which later saw a Nintendo GameCube re-release), and my personal favorite, Blue Stinger.

So sit back and relax as we restore this dusted up beauty to its former glory.
