Surf & Turf with GIANT OYSTER at Cowford Chophouse | Jacksonville, Florida

During my visit to Jacksonville, Florida I had the opportunity to dine at Cowford Chophouse the only locally owned steakhouse in Downtown Jacksonville. I had a surf and turf feast with a giant oyster!

The name Cowford Chophouse is a nod to the original name of Jacksonville, given in honor of the narrow point in the St. Johns River where settlers would ford the river with their cattle. Today, guests can gaze across that same river to enjoy Southbank skyline views from Downtown Jacksonville’s only steakhouse and rooftop lounge.

I tried a giant oyster, duck fat cornbread with crab and lobster, crab cakes, a filet mignon with king crab and a dessert platter! This was by far the best surf and turf meal of my life!
