Fix your headlights for less than $10
You will need...
1) masking tape
2) 600 grit waterproof sandpaper (Home Depot)
3) 1500 grit waterproof sandpaper (Home Depot)
4) newspaper or painting paper (comes in a roll from Home Depot or Lowe's for like $10)
5) water
6) Crystal clear acrylic enamel paint (Home Depot or Lowe's)
7) Approx. 2 hrs to fully dry (in warm weather, allow longer if cold)
Follow these Simple Steps:
1)Tape off the headlight so you don't sand the paint on your car
2) clean headlight with damp cloth pressing firmly
3) wet sand with 600 grit to even glaze over entire headlight, don't leave any lighter, clearer, or unevenly scratched areas. Wipe with damp cloth every so often and air dry for 15 seconds to check.
4) wet sand again but with 1500 grit this time again to even glaze over entire headlight, don't leave any lighter, clearer, or unevenly scratched areas. Wipe with damp cloth every so often and air dry for 15 seconds to check.
5) apply newspaper or painting paper to mask off large area of car for using spray paint to ensure paint does not get on car.
6) shake spray paint and apply in doing motions using glare of light off of headlamp to see areas you missed, silly additional costs as needed (directions are on back of can)
7) wax with car wax for extra shine, apply wax with some force in circular motion, wait to dry to a glazed look, buff clean with dry cotton or microfiber rag
8) enjoy!
