WINTER GEL NAIL ART: Quick & EASY Sweater Nail Design Tutorial (Using Gel Polish OR Regular Polish)

A popular trend for winter nail designs the past few years has been sweater nails.
I love that this style looks so intricate, but is actually pretty easy to do!
This is a great gel polish design for short OR long nails.

➲ Buff away any shine from the surface (top coats, nail oils, etc)

➲ Using gel polish (or regular) and a detail brush, paint a line of blocky sideways "S" down the nail.
* If you want more dimension to your nail design:
Cure this 1st layer of polish without adding powder. Do a second coat, then continue with the process.
You can also add anything else like lines down the sides, etc. curing as often as needed to lock in your nail art.

➲ While nail polish is wet, pour dip powder or acrylic powder of your choice over the nail design.
Shake off the loose excess.

➲ Cure according to the directions of the polish used.
If using regular polish, allow it plenty of time to thoroughly cure.

➲ Once cured, use a nail brush or cleansing cloth to remove leftover powder.

➲ Top off with any top coat or leave as is!
I highly recommend a top coat when using white powder so the crisp white color doesn't get dull.
