By using an overlooked mechanic and a unique decision available for Baltic rulers, called Proclaim Terra Mariana, you are effectively able to play form a pirate Kingdom with access to raiding, longships and ransoming without being a Viking! It will even give you a unique nickname and epithet Scourge of the Baltic!

In this video, Koifish will play as Chieftain Kodere of Curonia, going from a weak and poor Tribal, all the way to a rich and powerful Pirate King! We will make a name for ourselves in the Baltics and beyond through the power of piracy and raiding! This requires no Crusader Kings 3 mods! Even though there are some amazing Mods for CK3 out there, this playthrough guide will show you how to do it without any of them!
