AI is now unpopular. That may not make a difference.

Even as more and more people use AI tools in their everyday lives, national opinion polls in the United States show that AI has become incredibly unpopular.

But despite the growing disapproval around the technology, AI continues to spread throughout our workplaces and our lives — and much of the stock market is relying on these AI companies to succeed. 

In this episode, Katty Kay talks with Nilay Patel, Editor of The Verge and host of the podcast Decoder, about whether this public distrust in AI actually slow its progress, or if that train has essentially already left the station.
