Turn Thrift Store Cast Iron into GOLD!

It is not hard to reseason cast iron, even if the items has crude and rust on them. I turned these 50% cast iron cookware into gold by bringing back their wonderful seasoning with a handbuild rim stove that I made.

It is better to do this outdoors, as it will smoke quite a bit if you do it right.

Step 1: heat the item
Step 2: spray it with vegetable oil
Step 3: wipe off the excess vegetable oil
Step 4: allow the item to continue heating until the smoke stops.
Step 5: repeat spraying with vegetable oil for the desire depth of seasoning
