Ranking New Movies Released In August (Worst to Best)

New movies released in AUGUST ranked worst to best ‼️

Now I know the title sounds pretty straightforward, but like always I had a weird trick up my sleeve in this video. First off, there are actually two movies I watched back in July that made it on this list—I explained earlier in the video why I think they’re still worthy of being ranked for August.

I also ended up speed-ranking a bunch of Netflix stand-up specials I watched this month (don’t ask why), and honestly I got carried away with sound effects. I might’ve gone overboard, but I feel like each one had a purpose in keeping things entertaining.

Now, I should mention—I made a kind of Elliot Page reference in this video. It wasn’t really meant as a joke, and I could see how someone might take it the wrong way. But What actually happened was I was trying to find that damn picture of Dave Franco and Alison Brie as the “final form” person at the end of together,  but I couldn’t find the final form picture literally anywhere. My backup picture made it look like I was just straight up making fun of Page, but that wasn’t the intention at all. I was just pointing out that the “together final form” looked a lot like Elliot Page. So hopefully people don’t get too offended there.

I also talk down on War of the Worlds, Naked Gun, Together, Nobody 2, and some comedy specials in a kind of rambling, negative way—I was just kinda  letting loose and speaking my mind. Especially when it came to my number one spot, which I really went off on because I feel like it’s gotten disrespected for no reason. And I still think it might be one of the best movies of 2025, so I thought it deserved the extra time and energy.

Overall, I knocked this video out pretty quickly. The music edits and especially the speed-run section were way harder to pull off than they look on screen, but I think they came “together” 😏 really well. The thumbnail turned out solid too. I really wanted to use the “weapons kids” running with their hands out in the middle, but I couldn’t for the love of God find a picture that was cropped cleanly. The alternative I went with ended up working way better anyway.

At the end of the day, these are just my rankings, so people might get mad But I think I made this video entertaining enough for that to not matter, and had a fun time putting it “together”, and I hope y’all enjoy it!
