Putin Loses His Cool Over Ukraine In Annual Press Conference But Wants January Talks With US & NATO

President Vladimir Putin lost his cool over Ukraine during Russia’s annual year-end press conference. Putin was responding to a reporter who asked if he could give security guarantees and promise not to invade Ukraine. The Russian President ramped up tensions over Ukraine, reportedly by saying 'NATO can go to hell'. Putin lashed out at NATO for not keeping its promise and granting membership to several former Soviet nations.

Putin reportedly portrayed Russia as a victim which was dragged into a war by the West. He rather hinted that the West has always sought to destroy Russia and NATO is the real aggressor.
