Spring Fest, popularly known as SF, is an annual social and cultural festival of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, held in January in the spring semester. Famous classical performers such as Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pandit Devashish Bhattacharya, Pandit Biswas Mohan Bhatt performed at the famous Spring Fest stage. Hariprasad Chaurasia (born July 1, 1938) is a renowned Indian flute player whose repertoire is in Eastern Classical music. He is an innovator and a traditionalist. He is as credited for his musicianship as for his technical ability on the native instruments.
