Distant Memories: School Photographs in the Early 1850s

Compilation of photographs related to school from the early 1850s. Quite amazing to look back on these and think on how much time has passed since. These were mostly if not all taken with the daguerreotype process. Have done some touch-ups on each shot. Accompanying music is selections from Robert Schumann's Op. 15, Kinderszenen (Scenes From Childhood) played by Youtuber pianist BachScholar.
