Lukas Nelson on A Few Stars Apart, connecting with family and playing with Neil Young

Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real have just released a new album, A Few Stars Apart. Lukas has been generating a lot of steam over the last decade with a steady flow of records and live shows (either with his band or with his dad, Willie Nelson). While that would keep most musicians busy, Lukas and his band have also been backing up Neil Young from time to time. Now, during the pandemic, he’s had to switch gears. For the first time in a long time, Lukas has mostly stayed put in Austin, Texas, and on the north shore of Maui where he grew up. He joined host Tom Power from Maui to tell us about the new record and what he’s been up to.
