Ukraine Sends Rare S-300Vs Defence Systems To Donbas Frontline | Kyiv's Last Bid For Severodonetsk?

Ukraine has sent one of its S-300V air-defence missile systems to the battlefield of Donbas. The Ukrainian S-300V1 transporter erector launcher and radar vehicle (TELAR) was spotted June 12 in Lysychansk, as per reports. Ukrainian forces have been fighting Russian troops in Lysychansk and its twin city Severodonetsk for weeks. The S-300V systems are one of the highest-end surface-to-air missiles currently in Ukraine’s arsenal. Experts say the willingness to risk the S-300Vs indicates Kyiv’s desperation along the front line. UK says that Russia’s dominance over Ukraine’s airspace has helped its ground troops make some crucial territorial gains in Donbas.
