Molotov Cocktail
Perhaps the single most effective weapon available, they instantly kill any enemy, except for a Bloater, with a single hit. They do render Bloaters susceptible to other weapons by burning away their thick fungus armor, and as a thrown weapon they do not give away one's position. Additionally, screaming enemies will draw other Infected to their position. Any enemy which comes in contact with the pool of fire shortly after the Molotov explodes catch fire and die instantly, making the Molotov a useful area denial weapon.

Nail Bomb
The Nail Bomb resembles a tin can with protruding sharp objects (blades or other shrapnel). Nail Bombs are essentially land mines which only activate when an enemy is nearby. The damage done by Nail Bombs is enough to finish off all enemies in the game (except a Bloater) in one explosion. They are made from blades and gunpowder found throughout the game. This bomb can be first found in Bill's Town. Once Bill gives you your first Nail Bomb, you are then able to craft these on your own.

Smoke Bomb
The smoke bomb appears to be made from either a burlap sack or brown paper bag full of sugar and explosives. It does not inflict any kind of damage. Instead, if human enemies are within its blast radius, they will be stunned. Also, it can be used to assist an escape from enemies in two different ways.
First, the smoke bomb can assist in escape from human enemies by blocking their line of sight. Second, if Infected are within a smoke bomb's explosion radius, then it will prevent the use of echolocation by Clickers.
