☂️ RV ROOF VENT COVERS & cleaning tips • THIS IS A MUST

I’m going to share how installing RV roof vent covers is probably one of the smartest things any RVer should install OVER there standard roof cranking vents.

Your factory vents and these extra roof vent covers also need an annual cleaning. These roof vent covers can prevent major water & hail damage inside an RV and could save $1,000's of dollars in repairs that could of been easily prevented. They also help reflect heat coming into the RV from the roof, prevents cracking your vent covers over time from the hot sun and can add additional protection in the event you get caught in a hail storm. Adding additional RV vent covers over your standard RV roof vents, also allows you to leave your vents open all the time—even when it's raining—and continues to provide a beautiful breeze through the RV. I also cover how to cleaning these vent covers and servicing your regular vent seals & cranking mechanisms. These items should be on your annual PM schedule and we do this every year in the spring right before we start heading out on another year of RV traveling.

NOTE:
BTW...a commenter pointed out that people doing this type of cleaning with this Clorox Spray should be wearing gloves. I didn't think of that so yes, I agree that would be a prudent thing to do. So use a new pair of the same disposal Nitrile gloves that you use when dumping your tanks and handling your sewer hoses to protect your hands from possibly getting Clorox into your bloodstream and getting sick.

POWER TOOLS
I thought I’d add this screw gun, battery and charger just in case you’re just starting out and don’t have one yet or the one you currently have is a piece of junk like my previous one was. This DEWALT Drill / Driver Kit will be the most used tool you’ll have in your tool box. Every RVer needs one of these and this DEWALT is the best IMO. It’s light weight, but a beast.
