FRIDAY STORY | S2:E5 | Flower of Scotland: A story of Scotland; South Africa; Singing; and Rugby

This story explores the origins of singing in sport. The story travels from British colony of India, to a legendary afternoon in Cardiff and through the 20th century as passion builds within the rugby rivalry between England and Scotland. These events provide context behind the origin of Scotland's famous anthem, "Flower of Scotland," which (you may be surprised to hear) has a strong South African connection.

Written and narrated by Michael Charton.
