What are Dimension Tables?
1. Dimension tables are used to represent entities to analyze measures in your data.
2. Dimension table contains dimension keys, values and attributes
3. Dimension table are non transaction tables.
4. Dimension tables are sometime called lookup or reference tables. They are joined with fact tables to get the details about the fact measures.
5. Dimension tables are typically small, ranging from a few to several thousand rows.
6. Dimension tables are often highly de-normalized
