God of Wonders from the Live DVD The Journey still Live By Ayo Solanke was recorded live at the Joburg Theater in South Africa. The song was born from a near death experience at sea. It is a testimony of how God miraculously saved my life and delivered me from an impending death situation in Seychelles. The bible says in Psalms 23 verse 4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” This experience brought this verse of the bible to life to me more than I could have understood before the drowning because, God did not send me into the sea to drown, he had nothing to do with it but as the loving, caring and protective Father that He is, He got me out alive. While I was drowning, I went into a conversation with myself and I believed God, where I was asking in my spirit; "Is this the end?” and I heard a very silent but undoubtable voice inside me that said "No" but then I asked again ”How then will I get out of this, knowing that I can't swim?" but I never got an answer for the second question. It all happened very quickly but it was very real to me even till this day. This kind of reminded me of the scriptures in Luke 1 verse 34 when angel Gabriel delivered the message to Mary about having a child and she replied “Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”. That was my exact experience, because there was no hope of getting out at all even though I heard the voice of God that said it wasn't the end yet God went beyond my doubt in my head and worked out my deliverance anyway; and I’m guessing the answer was not supposed to be spoken in words but practically demonstrated with my salvation. Which is characteristic of His faithfulness to watch over and fulfill His words and promises. Maybe you are going through a rough time in your life, family, relationship, finances, job, academics or even health right now, I want to say to you that God has not forgotten you. He knows how the story ends and it is not with you losing out but it will end in your favor. All you need to do is to trust in Him and know that if He can lead you to this song, and make you read this story, then it can only mean one thing; He is trying to communicate to you that He is in charge and that he has got you covered and everything worked out in your favor though it may not look like it, just like it didn’t look like it for me when the voice said “NO” yet I was saved. I am convinced that if He can deliver me from death then you will experience the power of God's deliverance from death-like situation to life as you listen and sing along with us in Jesus name. I declare that you will be impacted by the power of Christ, creating a testimony for you, your family and everyone dear to you in the most needed areas of your life right now in Jesus name”. AMEN. Christ is working for you, don’t give up; TRUST HIM and you will see His salvation and deliverance in Jesus name! AMEN!
