Let’s Bake a Cake! Valentine’s Edition

Today we made a Vanilla Cake with Vanilla Buttercream from scratch! It was my first time making both items and I was pleasantly surprised! At first I was a bit unsure how the cake would bake but it actually came out super fluffy and moist. The buttercream, I was a bit iffy about it but eating it with the cake, chefs kiss! I also tried it out the next day after being in the fridge and I let it sit out for a few min and it tasted even better than the first day! I actually really like the buttercream so I may use this recipe again but I think I will try one more out to see if I can get a more sturdy consistency that will last sitting at room temperature .

Overall, this cake and the frosting was an 8/10 for me. Like I said I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor and texture of the cake and it is definitely my favorite out of the 2.
