In US news and current events today, President Donald Trump insists his supporters aren't racists. Meanwhile, a Washington Post analysis found a 226% increase in hate crimes in counties that hosted MAGA rallies in 2016.

In a new conference, President Trump recently stated that 'MAGA Loves Black People,' yet countless videos exist of Trump supporters assaulting people of color with racist slurs and other hate crimes. Trump himself has demeaningly called for the group of Congresswomen known as 'The Squad' to go back to their own countries, a puzzling and racist remark given that all of the squad members like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ilyanna Pressley, and Ilhan Omar were all born in America, and just so happen to be women of color. Feuding with AOC is just the tip of the ugly iceberg that is the MAGA movement, and in light of the George Floyd protests and Black Lives Matter protests that have erupted around the world after the police killing of George Floyd, we may have finally reached a turning point where racism like this will no longer be tolerated.
