Dr. DeReef Jamison received a B.S. in Psychology from Bowie State University, a M.S. in Community Psychology from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, and a Ph.D. in African American Studies from Temple University. His research demonstrates the connections between Africana intellectual history and social science that are often seen as disconnected. Dr. Jamison’s research interests include Africana intellectual history, the intellectual history and diasporic connections of Africana psychology, and the psychology of race and racism. He has published articles and essays in The Journal of African American Studies; The Journal of Black Studies; Race, Gender and Class; The Griot; Africology:The Journal of Pan African Studies; The Western Journal of Black Studies; The Journal of Black Psychology; and The Black Scholar.

Dr. Anton D. House obtained a Doctoral of Philosophy in United States History from Howard University in 2019. He also holds a Masters of the Arts degree in U.S. History from Howard and a Bachelor of the Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin- Parkside in History. Dr. House’s research centers on late nineteenth and early twentieth century United States History. Among his research areas of interest are the Black Economy, Racial Uplift and New Negro Movements, African American Benevolent, Fraternal, and Mutual Aid Societies, migration and urbanization.

Mr. Kenneth Ward has been a long-time educator in Washington, DC and for the last 11 years served as the Executive Director of College Bound, Inc. in Washington, DC. He is a long-time mentor and educator and has often invested time and energy into fostering educational trips to Africa to numerous deserving African-American students. He obtained his Master’s in Education from Trinity University-Washington, and his undergrad in Communications from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Ward has also earned from Georgetown University a degree certificate in non-profit executive management.
