Traveller Pride Day, St Catherine's Community Centre, Carlow. Part 2- Navan Travellers Workshop.

Carlow Traveller Network and St. Catherine’s Community Services Centre held a Traveller Pride Day in St. Catherine’s on the 17th of June to celebrate National Traveller Pride Week. The event celebrated and showcased Traveller culture and history with an exhibition of locally made barrel top wagons, flat carts and sulkies as well as photographs, hand crafted pieces, music and poetry.
Navan Travellers Workshop also brought their Traveller Living History Exhibition to Carlow for the event. This included a traditional Barrel top wagon, shelter tent, photographic exhibition, encampment, tin smith and fortune teller and storyteller.

The event highlighted the richness of Traveller culture and helped instil a further sense of pride in being a Traveller while providing a better understanding of Traveller culture for the wider community.

Carlow County Museum was there on the day to film the event.
