This adventure I decide to ice skate the 8 miles across Eklutna lake. Then nordic ski a few miles to find a good camping spot, but my plans change when I notice the ice getting thinner and thinner.

Just a little disclaimer: The cabin I stayed at is owned by the state and usually you have to rent it in advance to stay there. I didn't realize this until after I was there for a bit, which is why I didn't stay the night.
