The iconic cherry trees in the University of Washington’s Quad reached peak bloom in early April this year. The 29 large Yoshino cherry (prunus x yedoensis) trees are about 86 years old and healthy. The cherry blossoms attract many visitors to admire the beauty despite COVID-19 pandemic.
