4K! Busy Day Planespotting at Funchal Airport, Madeira! 20/03/17

A busy Monday at Funchal Airport on the Portuguese island of Madeira. It's been almost a year since I've been to Madeira so I was long overdue another spotting trip. One of my favourite airports to film at, Funchal is quite well known for its precariously perched runway and rather extreme approach which involves some rather steep banking around the coastline. Monday's are also one of the busiest days of the week, lots of holiday traffic, particularly from the U.K. So all in all a good day to go spotting, the weather was lovely, highs of 19 degrees and little breezy from the north.
The only Go Around during my time there was a Thomas Cook Scandinavia A321, which then diverted straight to Porto Santo (PXO) and didn't try and return to Funchal until much later in the evening.

Monarch A320 & A321's, Finnair A321, Thomson 757's & 737's, White A320, TAP A320, Jet2 737's, Transavia 737's, TUIFly 737, British Airways A320, EasyJet A320's, Germania 737-700, Thomas Cook Scandinavia A321 and a few more surprises thrown in the mix.
The Thomas Cook Scandinavia A321 seen landing, was not the same one which did the go around. The go around went to PXO. That was a different one.

In places the wind picked up and its a little shaky for apologies for that, but overall I'm quite pleased with my first 4K spotting video in Madeira!
