Domain Network System Explained | DNS Working Mechanism.

When you type a website name like google.com into your browser, how does your computer know where to go? That’s the magic of DNS — Domain Name System.

Think of DNS like the internet’s phonebook. You search for a name (like a website), and it returns the number (the IP address). This helps your browser connect to the correct server behind that web address.

If a website moves to a new server, DNS records are updated so users are silently redirected to the new location. Most systems and browsers also store these DNS results in a local cache to speed things up.

And in case a DNS server fails? No worries — backup DNS servers take over instantly. That’s how the internet stays so smooth, even when the backbone shifts!
