Valve has made CSGO available on Steam as a separate free to play title 3 years after delisting it due to CS2's release.

Official controller support exists inside the game and worked out of the box for me when I tried.

Unfortunately, we can only play against bots on the Steam Deck due to Valve preventing online play.
