Global Chess Leaders Arrive in Bhubaneswar | Chess Mahakumbh 2026 II
Bhubaneswar is set to become a global chess hub as Chess Mahakumbh 2026 – International Conference on Social & Educational Chess is officially announced at a high-profile press conference held at Hotel Mayfair.

The landmark international conference will be hosted by Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) from January 14 to 16, 2026, marking the first time in India that such a global chess conference is being organised in collaboration with the International Chess Federation (FIDE) and the All India Chess Federation (AICF).
