RC Phoenix-S beach landing: Flight Eighteen

Volantex RC Plane Glider Phoenix S 1600 mm Wingspan. 2S 5200mAh LiPo-powered glider I can achieve flight times of over 30 minutes if I desire. The plane isn't a powerhouse but very stable especially in the wind.

Flight Review:
I went out looking for cliffs to slope soar off but could not find any, so I settled for Shelter Beach instead. It was right by the road and looked like a quiet sheltered spot to get some flying in over the sand and water.

Throwing a plane towards the ocean always feels risky. I have had launches go wrong before and it is never fun when things do not go to plan. The wind was spilling off the cliffs nearby and kept knocking the wings off level which made the flight feel rough and unsettled.

I kept it short, but at one point I pulled up alongside a car cruising past, then circled back around, cut the power, and slid the glider in across the sand. It was a short flight but a nice clean touchdown to finish.
