1.Kaveri Dry engine to get Initial Flight Release (IFR) certification in 2024
Kaveri Derivate engine aka Kaveri Dry currently under development to be used in Unmanned Combat Stealth Aircraft program in future will be undergoing Performance and operability demonstration across the flight envelope in the Altitude Test Facility is planned for 2021 as per information provided by GTRE. Kaveri Derivate engine will get Initial Flight Release (IFR) certification in 2024 if all goes well.

IFR certification is similar to the Airworthiness certificate that could allow the Kaveri Derivate engine to be tested on an aircraft or a Testbed aircraft. Kaveri Derivate engine will not have an afterburner section and will be able to generate 47 kN Thrust class, that’s sufficient enough to power an UCAV

Boeing on Tuesday conducted the first test flight of its F-15EX fighter, which is being built for the US Air Force. In a press release, Boeing said the F-15EX jet “took off and landed from St. Louis Lambert International Airport, completing a 90-minute test flight…” The F-15EX has been offered to India and Israel.
The F-15EX is the newest variant of the iconic F-15 ‘Eagle’ air superiority fighter, which first flew in 1972 and remains a mainstay in the air forces of the US, Israel, Saudi Arabia and Japan. The US, Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore and Qatar all operate or are buying multi-role variants of the F-15 that can perform both air-to-air and air-to-surface missions.
Last year, Boeing was awarded a US Air Force contract for eight F-15EX jets. The US Air Force may buy up to 144 F-15EX fighters with an eventual contract value of about $23 billion. The deal for the F-15EX by the US Air Force had created a flutter as the US was buying a version of a fighter that had been in service for five decades.

3.India looking at Tejas exports at Rs 309 crore ($43 million) per aircraft, HAL chairman says
-indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas at a vanilla price of just Rs 309 crore per aircraft, as countries from Southeast Asia and the Middle East have evinced interest, R. Madhavan, chairman of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), said at Aero India being held in Bengaluru.

Responding to a query from ThePrint on the export potential and the costing, Madhavan said while the contract cost for the 83 Tejas fighters is about Rs 48,000 crore, it will come down to around Rs 36,000 crore if one takes away the tax component and escalation in foreign exchange.

“Some are calculating the price of the Tejas MK1 A based on the Rs 48,000 (crore) bill. This is wrong. If one takes out the taxes and duty, besides foreign exchange increase, the cost of the contract comes down to about Rs 36,000 core. Actually, the total order cost for the 83 LCA is about Rs 25,150 crore,” he said.
Explaining the break-up, Madhavan said the taxes and customs work out to be around Rs 9,200 crore, and another Rs 11,000 crore is for spares, ground equipment, training aides and manuals, among others.
“Cost per aircraft is Rs 309 crore. The trainer will cost Rs 280 crore. This is a very competitive price. Other countries have found this cost and have realised that it is the cheapest offer for a four-and-a-half generation aircraft,” he said
“This (Rs 309 crore) is the cost at which we will be exporting. There would be a little bit of extra cost because the bases will be abroad,” Madhavan added.
