'Awkward' for Harry and Meghan to name daughter Lilibet after ‘blasting’ the royals

Fox News guest Charlie Lankston says it is a “slightly awkward” decision for Harry and Meghan to name their daughter after the Queen following months of “publicly blasting” the royal family.

“Lilibet is a very private nickname,” she told Fox News.

“It’s not really a name that was used very widely.

“I also find it slightly awkward for Harry and Meghan to have given their daughter the name Lilibet shortly after kind of publicly blasting the royal family for all to hear.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex chose to honour the Queen when naming their daughter, despite a very public feud with the royal family.

Meghan and Harry sat for a two-hour special with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year in which the couple made multiple bombshell allegations against the royal family.
