Queen Elizabeth II and her lifelong love of animals
Queen Elizabeth II was given her first corgi on her 18th birthday - throughout her life she owned more than 30 - and she was also a lover of other animals.
She was a lifelong patron of the Zoological Society of London and supported the Royal Windsor Horse Show as its patron for 70 years.
