Did Clayton Morris and Morris Invest Scam Turn-key Real Estate Investors?

Clayton Morris is accused of defrauding many investors after collecting nearly $5,000,000 in referral fees. He claims he is a victim as well, but I go over why I think that may not be the case.

I was very hesitant about doing this video but I felt it needed to be done in order to warn those who may be looking to do business with Clayton Morris. Clayton is an ex-Fox News host and was on my podcast back in early 2018 when I still doing the podcast and after publishing that show I had a number of people email me telling me how they had been scammed by Morris Invest. That got my attention and after doing some digging I took that podcast down. That was the only podcast I ever removed because I did not want to give Morris Invest any publicity.

Some time went by and then Clayton had his name in the news again as he had been sued by a number of people for defrauding them of money. The accusations said that Clayton referred people to a turn-key rental property provider. They paid for properties and paid for the rehab only to have the work never done, and the properties never rented. In a few cases, properties that were supposed to have brand new homes built were simply vacant lots.

I kept my eye on this story and then Clayton and I got into a little spat on Instagram. I tried to clarify some things as he claims total innocence in all of this, but could not get a straight answer out of him.

Then recently James Wise put together a massive video on the fraud that he says Clayton committed. I finally decided it was time for me to throw in my two cents. As Clayton still sells turn-key rentals and other people have come to his defense that he was a victim in all of this as well.

I started this video and then redid the entire thing because I found so many new things. After digging through Bigger Pockets threads and what Clayton has said on his website, in interviews for articles, and in response to the BBB complaints, I came to the conclusion he was greatly involved in all of this and is by no means innocent.

After all of the bad press and articles and lawsuits, Clayton moved to Portugal which is known as a very friendly country to those looking to escape legal trouble.

Let me know what you think of the video and if you have any stories about Clayton. James Wise has said the FBI is looking for victims who lost more than $100,000 to him.
