Waves - Burning Ship Fractal Zoom

A new beautiful way to experience the Burning Ship fractal! I've often referred to the Burning Ship as the Mandelbrot's ugly cousin, but it now seems that she just wasn't dressed for the ball. This video uses is a customised colouring technique that brings out the detail in shapes. The Burning Ship is a fractal full of architectural shapes, harsh edges, and islands. The Burning Ship fractal is made with the equation z = abs(z)² + c. Adding the absolute value function means that it is no longer analytic, and it is not a continuous fractal. It has islands and cut edges.
