There is a massive difference between different publishing industries (language markets) that is not often talked about. If you are not a US picture book illustrator, it might be good to reduce your expectations a bit for all the information you find online.
Also: maybe you know this information already, so forgive me for using such an intense intro 😭 these intros tend to generate more views.
