Fr. Augustine exhorts us to stay focussed on Jesus! "In the midst of distress, we might not be able to recognize the Face of Jesus. What we need to do is - even in such difficult moments of our life is to know that Jesus will walk with us."

"Even when we feel so frustrated at the failures and disappointments of our life, we should not imagine Jesus would be far away from us. Indded it is in such mooments that Jesus is closest to us. Remember Jesus said, ' I will go in search of the lost sheep.'"

There are moments in our life when we feel lost and abandoned - even abandoned by God! We have no reason to live anymore. Everything has turned against us and we wonder why everyone is determined to misintepret the best of our intentions. Even in such difficult moments of our lives, our God is on our side. The Promise of Jesus, "I will never abandon you. I will never leave you alone.' This is a Promise that Jesus will keep. He is faithful to His Promises."

Life is a mystery. This mystery will only be revealed by the Word of God will reveal the mystery of our life. We must be waiting to listen to God speaking to us and we will encounter the Risen Lord in His Word."

"It is not enough just to read the Bible - the Word of God. The Word of God must become the Voice of God spoken to our hearts."

"The words written in the Bible is a dead letter but the written dead letter must become the Living Voice, the Loving Voice of God."
