Buried in the Appalachian Mountains | The Tribe History Tried to Erase
#appalachianmountains #ancienthistory #americanhistory
Beneath the mist and stone of the Appalachian Mountains lies a forgotten story of a lost tribe, pale-skinned warriors, and the stone ruins no one can explain. This is the story they tried to erase.
They came across the water, built to survive, and died defending what no one was supposed to find.
This is the haunting story of the White Indians—a mysterious people said to have settled deep in the Appalachian Mountains centuries before Columbus ever set sail. Known in Shawnee legend as the Azgens, they were pale-skinned, gray- or blue-eyed, and feared even by the tribes who followed.
Were they descendants of Prince Madoc of Wales, who vanished in 1170? Did they build the stone walls found atop ridgelines in Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky? And why did the Cherokee call their former lands cursed?
In this episode, we trace ancient river routes, follow the ruins, and dig into oral traditions—uncovering lost forts, unexplained artifacts, and a trail of bones leading west. What we find isn’t just legend. It’s the footprint of a people who lived, fought, and were buried in silence.
