Gary Sinise's First USO Tour in Iraq (20th Anniversary)
20 years ago, in June of 2003, @GarySinise made his first-large scale USO tour to Iraq in support of our nation’s service members.
On the day he departed from Washington D.C., aboard a Northwest Airlines 747, Gary had no idea the impact this trip would have on his life. On this historic trip, Gary was fortunate to visit with troops stationed at Camp Udari, Camp Doha, Camp Sayliyah, and in and around Baghdad. It was the first of over 100 USO tours overseas and across the country that he would make in the coming years. It was a landmark moment in his journey from self to service, playing a pivotal role in the creation of the Gary Sinise Foundation.
20 years later, Gary is truly a Grateful American.
