South East Montana Road Trip - Fall Family Travel and Adventure

We hit the road again for a keepin'-it-local road trip through South East Montana to enjoy the fall weather, big city sights, and small town charms, as well as some awesome nature. We started and ended our week in Billings, aka Montana's Trailhead, then took some back roads along the Yellowstone River to enjoy the fall colors on the way to Glendive and Makoshika State Park's dinosaur / badlands vibes, then a couple of quick stops in Wibaux, Montana and saw the world's biggest steer in Baker, Montana. We followed up with an afternoon and morning exploring the Western feel of Miles City and then on learn about the historic Battle of Little Big Horn on the Crow Reservation and back to Billings and Petroglyph Cave State Park. We had a wonderful time on this Montana Road trip and we hope it inspires you to explore the towns and parks along the Interstate 90 Corridor through SE Montana.
