Kate Hoey: 'time for a new health secretary'

Baroness Hoey says she thought "it was time for a new health secretary." The non-affiliated peer added that newly announced coronavirus restrictions from the 2nd of December are "confusing" and "sound like football results" being read out.

On the issue of the impending Brexit negotiation deadline in January she said she would be "very angry" if there was any "rowing back" on the commitment for the UK to have control of its own fishing waters.

She added that people should not worry about the future relationship between the UK and the US, telling Mike Graham on talkRADIO that once Joe Biden becomes president and "is surrounded by people who are a bit more aware of what has been going" things would quieten down in that regard, despite the Irish lobby in America being "substantial."

Commenting on the recent death of Diego Maradona: "He will go down as the best footballer of his time."
