Quick and Easy Homemade Marinara Sauce | WW (Weight Watchers) Points on all Plans💚💙💜 This quick and easy tomato sauce comes together in minutes and is low in Weight Watcher points! I tried it as a pizza sauce in this video but it would work well as a pasta sauce or for anything you need a marinara sauce for!
Makes 6, 1/2 cup servings. MyWW SmartPoints per serving - Green:1 SmartPoints / Blue: 1 SmartPoints / Purple: 1 SmartPoints (5 points on all colors for all 3 cups)
Ingredients:
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 Tbsp tomato paste
2 tsp minced garlic (2 cloves)
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp dried Oregano
1/2 tsp dried Basil
2 packets sugar substitute
1/2 tsp salt
pepper to taste
In a small pan, heat olive oil on medium heat, add in onions and cook until translucent. Add in garlic, Oregano, Basil, salt and pepper and cook about a minute. Add in tomato paste and cook another minute. Add crushed tomatoes and sugar substitute, stir well. Turn down heat to low and let simmer for 10-15 minutes.
