I think that Hawkfrost has a lot of wasted potential... he's really just a tigerstar clone that never really did anything. he TRIED to kill firestar and brambleclaw, he got stormfur kicked out of riverclan and he was a jerk to mothwing but... i mean tigerstar killed like ten people! hawkfrost really just was kind of a jerk and then he died.

I like to imagine a more emotional hawkfrost, someone who resented tigerstar, even hated him, who really believed that he was better than him. That in Hawkfrost's mind, he was USING tigerstar to get stronger so he could surpass him, but never really loved him- but brambleclaw was his brother and he truly believed that family and brotherhood meant more than anything else, and that brambleclaw choosing his loyalty to his clan over his loyalty to him really broke him, that he was VERY upset by it and felt genuinely betrayed.

Anyway so in this, imagine that when hawkfrost is talking about "plastics," they're talking about how the plan was for Brambleclaw to pretend to be the perfect deputy who didnt want power, to pretend he had no ambition whatsoever, and here hawkfrost is accusing him like "buddy its not pretend! You DONT have any ambition!" something along those lines.
