Pete Townshend is one of rock’s legends and he’s one of its best guitar players too. Pete could play a mean lead, but where he really excelled was in playing manic-sounding but controlled rhythm. He was a major influence in sound, voicing, and timing. And nobody played those fast rhythms with more punch.
Pete was a major influence on my musical taste and my guitar playing. Here are just a few of his licks and tricks!
