'Dirty Money' | Antibalas | Sound Tracks Quick Hits | PBS

A fast-paced song for the trying economic times we live in, "Dirty Money" is the signature track from the band's latest album on the Brooklyn-based Daptone label. It's a two-pronged response to the 2008 financial crisis that still looms large around the world and the pressure of living in an oil-based economy.

Founded in 1998, Antibalas means "bulletproof" in Spanish. Inspired by Latin music, jazz, funk and Fela Kuti's Afrobeat, the horn-driven band has always delivered high-octane music with a message. Quick Hits fans will recall our music videos and interview with another Daptone artist, soul singer Charles Bradley.
