Orcas (killer whales) destroy the rudder of a yacht on delivery off the Coast of Spain

One of our skippers' talks through his recent experiences with orcas off the coast of Spain. The video shows the damage done to the rudder. It really was amazing that they were able to get into a safe harbour without needing a tow!

There have been numerous incidents in the last 12 months with orcas interacting with yachts off the coast of Spain and Portugal. We deliver numerous yachts through these waters every month. Our top tip is to stay in the shallow waters and turn everything off and drift if any come close. They are more interested in yachts moving at speed.
